Signs of a right-winger

Signs of a right-winger

The hashtag #SignsYoureRightWing trended yesterday on Twitter, so as a quick and easy blog post, with lazyness factor one million, I thought I would just include my tweets, some of my favorite tweets, and perhaps some commentary regarding this hashtag. A preview: Conservatives are bigoted, ignorant hypocrites who drink the Kool-Aid and only care about that which affects themselves.

The fine line between hate crime and terrorism

The fine line between hate crime and terrorism

Although Fox News thinks the shooting in Charleston, South Carolina, was part of the "war on Christianity" and had nothing to do with race, the shooting in Charleston, South Carolina, had everything to do with race. It, like many other shootings of black individuals, was born from the culture of racism conservatives both deny and support. (Granted, liberals can be racist, too, but it is just not as common.) Many on the left have criticized that the SC Shooting is not called an act of terror, when the same kind of attack by a Muslim would be called just that. So was the South Carolina Shooting terrorism?

Foreign man robs house... in which he lives

Foreign man robs house... in which he lives

My mother was home when the neighbors were robbed, today. Of course, the person who robbed them was a foreign, dark-skinned individual. When we’re challenged, our first reaction is to try and silence the challenger without facing what they say. This way, we’ll never have to grow and progress, and we never will. Progress is achieved through research, thought, education, and free speech.

Humanity is one

Humanity is one

There is so much hate and violence in the world. Recent times have given us horrific news like the Sydney Siege with two dead hostages and the Peshawar school attack, which resulted in well over one hundred dead, most of whom were innocent children. It's about time we stop thinking in terms of us and them; humanity is one.

Vocal minorities are so annoying

Vocal minorities are so annoying

In response to my blog post, “Let’s get secular”, a self-proclaimed non-religionist but non-atheist criticized my writing about atheism. He said he was unbiased for not being an atheist but not belonging to any religion, and said I was annoying for writing about atheism; in fact, he responded to a blog post in which I write about the bigotry atheists face, so that’s a great testament to his character. Let’s take a look at what this troll was saying, and see why he was ignorant, intolerant, and just plain wrong.
