How can so many people believe in what's so obviously a lie? There's no proof whatsoever for Christianity; in fact, though there's no direct proof against God, logic and critical thinking can tell us Christianity and other religions are bullshit. Still, so many people believe in these stories, but don't "believe" in proven facts, like evolution. I just don't get it—at all. Perhaps theists ought to look up the definitions of proof and science.

The children grow up thinking their religion is right because that is all they’ve heard their whole lives, so they teach their own kids the same.

I'm not seeking to make religion illegal, but it is a vicious circle, as critical thinking is systematically expunged from kids by parents and other authority figures; the children grow up thinking their religion is right because that is all they've heard their whole lives, so they teach their own kids the same. We live in a great time of science, but many Christians seem to long for the glory days when science was a joke—a picture of Darwin as a monkey. Oh, how they long for a world without science to contradict them—stupid, mean science.
